My Story

Growing up in an Italian family, food was an integral part of my daily interactions and traditions. My family demonstrated their love through the food that they made and shared with others. When a family member and I developed celiac disease and food intolerances, I became determined to find a way to make some of the foods that I missed dearly.

Biscotti Diana emerged from this drive, along with the passion to want to help people be able to enjoy the food they once used to have at their family tables or simple desserts they missed.

What sets Biscotti Diana apart from others is the taste and quality of the ingredients used to make products that can be enjoyed by everyone, even those that don’t have to eat gluten free. True to my European background, I believe in using simple and high quality ingredients: inspired by fresh and seasonal ingredients with no unnecessary items added.

At Biscotti Diana you will find artisanal and authentic gluten free products that merge some old school Italian traditions with new ideas. You won’t believe it’s gluten free!

Mentorship and Health Coaching:

The mentorship and health coaching service is an individualized one on one service that will mentor, guide, teach and empower you to maintain a safe gluten free lifestyle as per your needs. This service will facilitate and compliment any dietary or medical expertise you may already have from health practitioners, dieticians and/or naturopaths. Macchiato Biscotti

Baci Cake

A moist chocolate cake with a velvety homemade chocolate hazelnut frosting topped with chopped roasted hazelnuts and Baci chocolate. You won’t believe it’s gluten free!

Lemon Mascarpone

Soft moist layers of lemon sponge cake covered in a zesty and sweet mascarpone cream. You’ll surely go back for more than one slice.

Gluten Free & Dairy Free Tiramisu

This tiramisu cake is made with “pan di spagna” cake layers evenly infused with sweet coffee and liquor and the signature “Biscotti Diana” vegan coffee cream topped with cocoa and chopped hazelnuts.

“Biscotti” Special Edition Cake

Luscious vanilla cake with layers of subtle lemon crema pasticcera, vanilla bean buttercream topped with crushed lemon pistachio biscotti. There’s no cake versus cookies debate here.

Carrot Cake

A very moist carrot cake packed with flavour, perfectly spiced with pecans and walnuts and combined with luscious layers of cream. This cake is available with dairy or non-dairy option with the signature “Biscotti Diana” vegan cream.

Nocciola (Hazelnut)

The “nocciola” biscotti is a decadent combination of perfectly roasted hazelnuts and rich chocolate flavours that will leave a lasting impression. Available seasonally or for special occasions.

Almond Orange Cranberry Biscotti

This seasonal biscotti will have you anticipating the next bite as sweet notes of specialty Cara Cara oranges fill your mouth balanced with cranberries and hints of cinnamon, then coated with a velvety white chocolate and the delicate crunch of roasted almonds.

Amaretti

“Heavenly” “Pillowy” These are just some of the words that have been used to describe these fluffy and delicate amaretti cookies with a hint of lemon that melt in your mouth. Available with almonds or amarena cherries for special occasions/holidays.

Baci di Dama

The “Biscotti Diana” version of this “lady’s kisses” cookie is an amaretti cookie filled with a rich layer of chocolate crunchy hazelnut cream and topped with a hazelnut.

Toast

This gluten free and vegan oat bread is a perfect addition to your mornings. Bite into this wonderful toast bread and you will hear that wonderful crisp sound and be amazed by the texture and flavour enhanced by your favourite toppings.

Tortellini

These tortellini are part of the heart and soul of the Biscotti Diana repertoire of recipes. An attestation to the passion and quality that Biscotti Diana offers. Beautifully handmade, they are made of a perfect blend of gluten free flours that offer structure and delicacy. Carefully filled with a soft and rich blend of high quality cheeses with delicate notes of sage. Perfect to have with various sauces or as a soup in a broth.

Seasonal variations: butternut and sage, pear and chestnut.

Other pasta variations available for special occasions: fettuccine, tagliatelle, ravioli, gnocchi

Pasta is available upon request and in limited quantities and dependent on production availability.

Everyone loves Lucy and everyone that has crossed her path knows and loves her signature cookies and culinary talents. Coming soon is a classic crescent cookie modified by “Lucia”, filled with a sugar and walnut paste and then wrapped in a beautiful pastry dough baked until golden.

Apricot Cookies

A divine cookie dough filled with a luscious apricot jam topped with almond slivers. A perfect accompaniment with your coffee or tea break and makes a wonderful addition to your brunch or luncheon events.

Faq

Are you gluten free only?
Yes, I only provide gluten free products. There are no products that contain gluten.

Are you celiac safe?
Yes. I have celiac disease myself, therefore, all the products I make are gluten free and also free of contamination. I ensure that the raw ingredients I purchase are also gluten free.

“Biscotti Diana” is one of the first and only establishments in the province that has been verified to be dedicated gluten free approved through the Gluten Free Food Program which is endorsed by Coeliaque Quebec and the Canadian Celiac Association.

Are your products dairy free? Lactose free? Vegan?
There are many products available that are naturally dairy free or that can be made lactose free. Some items are also vegan or can be made available vegan upon request.

Are your products nut free?
Many of the products contain nuts such as tree nuts. Some items can be made nut free however I am unable to ensure a nut free facility, therefore, please be aware of this should you or someone you are purchasing for have severe nut allergies.

Where are you located?
Biscotti Diana is a home based business located in central Chomedey, Laval. I am located within very close proximity of Centropolis and (St. Martin/Cure Labelle intersection).

Do you offer delivery service?
I currently do not offer a delivery service unless I am setting up an event for you. I do offer flexible pick up days and times
Pick up service requires time away from the kitchen which means I am not able to provide as many of my products to customers like you.

What are your pick up times?
Made to order by appointment only.

What ingredients do you use?
I strive to use high quality ingredients in all of my products which naturally enhance flavors. Many of the ingredients I use are organic and some products are made with refined free sugars. Some items are also offered seasonally when certain fruits or items are in season and at their best. I use basic ingredients and no extra additives or unnecessary ingredients are found in my products.

Where do your recipes come from?
My recipes have been created by me to ensure an authentic and high quality product. They are not replicated or taken from other sources. Seasonally some products from family recipes will be adapted and offered and will be indicated out of respect or honour to the person.

Is there a minimum order?
All orders can only be made by the quantities indicated on the menu. Some items are sold by half dozen but most items are sold by the dozen. Cookies cannot be sold by the unit. Cakes and bread are also only sold as a whole and not by slice. The only items sold by the unit are the "Marco ice cream" sandwiches.

Do you make birthday cakes?
I make cakes that can be served for a birthday or event. I am not able to provide cakes that are decorated by theme. The cakes are only available in their indicated design, shape and size.

How do I pay for my order?
You can pay for your order via e-transfer or cash at pick up. For orders over $100.00, a 50% deposit is required before pick up.

How much time in advance do I need to put an order through.
All items are made fresh and based on order requests. It is recommended to place your order at least one day prior; however, depending on the size of your order more time may be required. For event based orders or very large quantities, it is recommended to put in your request earlier than later.

How do I order?
There are several ways of ordering. You may order via phone 514.265.5614, website or email. Once you have sent your order I will send you a notification to confirm your order.

Do you do events?
Yes, I am available to provide my products at your event and can offer you special packaging to complete your day. Please ensure to inquire more about this option.

Can I freeze your items?
Yes. It is highly recommended that you freeze the items in an airtight container or bag and take it out when you'd like to eat it.
